Meanwhile in Dubai: Police Gets a Lamborghini Patrol Car
The Dubai police department just got even more baller (if that is possible). Yesterday morning, the official Twitter account for the Dubai PD tweeted a photograph of their new green and white Lamborghini Aventador police vehicle, a two-door sports car with a top speed of 217 MPH and a price tag of $550,000 USD. Of course, this isn’t all that atypical for the cops of the most expensive city in the Middle East, having already received several fleets made of SUVs including Kia Mohave, Toyoto Prado and Nissan Xterra in the past year.
Srsly?
LOST parody musical ‘A Game of Black and White’ debuts this month
After months of working, a group of performers known as Sweetfeet Productions got together to create their very own stage version of the sci-fi thriller that aired on ABC between 2004 and 2010!
When asked what motivated them to create a musical version of the beloved TV show, Christopher Monaco, who wrote the book for the show and will play John Locke when the curtains open, had this to say:
We were enchanted by the story of Lost. The idea that a group of lost souls were brought together by fate and forced to confront their fears on an island really resonated with us. Plus it’s such an epic show that it’s very easy to make fun of certain conventions of the storytelling. We absolutely want fans of the show to be able to watch and laugh, to celebrate the wonders of the work of Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof, but also for first-time viewers (because the show is now completed, some people haven’t heard its name in a while) to appreciate the show for what it is.
The show will take place May 24-26 at the Upper Darby Performing Arts Center in Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania just outside of Philadelphia. The good news for those of you who may not be in Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania is that the production team does plan on recording the performance and releasing it online afterwards!
You must be truly desperate to come to me for help.
